Saints Come Marching In…

I wanted Chicago to win against the Colts in 07, I wanted the Cardinals to win last year, and neither one happened.  However, more than both of those I wanted New Orleans to beat the Colts this year, and they did.

Final score for Super Bowl 44 was 31-17 Saints.  A great game.  Not too ugly, Breeze and Manning working well.  Drew Breeze played great.  He tied Tom Brady for most completions in a super bowl game with 32, threw for 288 yards, 2 touchdown passes, and no picks.  Peyton had a good game, but threw a pick 6 which was a killer.  Sean Peyton made a few gutsy calls.  At the end of the 2nd quarter he decided to go for a touchdown on 4th down instead of kicking the sure field goal.  They didn’t get it, but they did get a field goal at the end of the first half.  The call I was more impressed with was the onside kick at the beginning of the 2nd half.  It worked and resulted in a touchdown for the Saints.

Congratulations to the city of New Orleans!  Awesome.
