It’s been a long time since I’ve posted. It has been a mixture of me not having passion along with me not looking for things to write about. Here’s a short update for sports. Trying to get up and running a bit again:
In World Cup news, USA tied England 1-1. USA’s goal was a mediocre strike from Clint Dempsey, but fortunately for the Americans the English goalkeeper Robert Green fumbled the ball into his own goal. Green’s misplay will not be forgotten anytime soon, especially since the game ended as a tie. England came into the tournament unsure of their primary goalie. That looks like a bad move now.
Rangers are tied for first in the West with the Angels with a record of 35-28. Pitching has not been a force once again. While Rich Harden has been disappointing, Colby Lewis has really stepped up as a starter. Offense has been awesome. Right now 4 players are hitting over .300. Vlad, Hamilton, Young, and Andrus are all playing well. Cruz is still out with a hamstring injury. I’m ready to see him back up and running.
Colby’s current line: 13G, 84.2 IP, 6-4 record, 81 Ks, 3.30 ERA.
